Hi there! Welcome to my food blog Kimchi and Kogi (translation: kimchi (a wonderful [and sometimes scary] Korean side dish) and meat). I have a maniacal obsession with food. Put me in a food market and you’ll be hearing me from 100 feet away squealing with excitement. I currently live in Pensacola, FL, with my husband and fur monster. We are a proud Navy family and we love to eat.

I educate America during the academic year (i.e., a middle school teacher) and during my free time, I cook, bake, and eat! Or rather, I attempt to bake. You see, measuring and I are not very good friends. We tried to make it work, but I think I let him down by not listening to him.

I have been cooking for as long as I can remember. No seriously, I’ve been chopping with a giant cleaver since the ripe old age of a long, long time ago. I cook a wide variety of dishes, ranging from Italian seafood pasta one night to Halal chicken the next. My recipes can be extremely simple to annoyingly complicated. I am also a master at making homemade pizza. As you will see, I keep my ingredients simple and easy to find so I hope you can recreate these in your own home. So sit tight and enjoy!
